Talk "Deciding Well - A Christian Perspective on Making Decisions as a Leader" to be given by Peter Shaw, CB, Partner at Praesta Partners.

Peter will draw inspiration and practical lessons from Jesus' approach to making decisions and consider what is distinctive about Christian discernment. The session will encourage an approach which is rooted in biblical truth and practical reality. Peter has written a number of influential leadership books including "Mirroring Jesus as Leader", "The 4Vs of Leadership", and Making Difficult Decisions".

An opportunity to meet and discuss issues over a drink. Food will also be available. To be held at the Hoop and Grapes 80 Farringdon Street, London EC4B 4AL. Map  Nearest tube - Chancery Lane (while Blackfriars tube is closed!).

Justshare Debate: Offshore Financial Centres: Blessing or Curse?

Speakers:
Howard Bilton, Chair of the Sovereign Group
John Kay, Economist, Author and Financial Times columnist.
John Whiting, Tax Policy Director at the Chartered Institute of Taxation, will be in the Chair.

Offshore Financial Centres, commonly known as tax havens, have been the focus of increased media and popular attention since the G20 met in London in April. This debate will explore whether tax havens create opportunities for entrepreneurship in the developing world, or whether they are sources of corruption and destructive competition which encourage exploitation and undermine good governance.

The debate will take place at St Mary-le-Bow Church, EC2V 6AU, at 1.05pm. It will conclude by 2pm but will be followed by free Fairtrade wine and fruit juice.
All are welcome.

Title: ‘Our Father: A Prayer for Justice’
Father Timothy Radcliffe OP, Formerly Master of the Dominican Order worldwide

Timothy Radcliffe OP will look at the ‘Our Father’ to suggest how central to our relationship with God is justice and peace. He will be introduced by Canon Robert Wright, Sub-Dean of Westminster Abbey, Rector of St Margaret’s Westminster and Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons.

The Lecture will take place at St Mary-le-Bow Church, EC2V 6AU.
It will conclude by 7pm but will be followed by free Fairtrade wine. All are welcome.

CityGate Conference: Economics, Business and the Church

In this year's conference, we will explore how the Church and entrepreneurs can partner with each other to display God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, in a bid to clearly communicate Christ and his will for the world.
