THE HUGH KAY MEMORIAL LECTURES
 
 

Hugh Kay was first Secretary and then Director of CABE from 1971 until his death in 1986. His obituary in the Times included a comment that ‘he inspired affection in many for his dogged Christian realism and for his patient fellow-feeling in exposing his own hard-won faith – qualities appreciated in his regular domestic and foreign broadcasts, including Thought for the Day.’ In 1989 the Trustees of CABE decided to hold an annual Lecture in his memory, the first of which was delivered in 1990.

In 2005,

The Lecture itself was given by Dr Laura Nash, senior lecturer at Harvard Business School. Her subject was ‘Reframing Faith and Work for Lasting Success’, and a write-up on the Conference and the full text may be viewed by accessing the relevant booklet:
