TRUSTEES

Kully Dhadda, (Marketing and Publicity) worked for the BBC in radio and television for 15 years prior to setting up her PR company 'Flame Public Relations'. The aim of the company is to achieve high profile coverage on the national and international press, radio, television and the internet. Kully became a Christian through attending a Christian Union meeting at school, when she was 18. She is from a Sikh background, her parents are from Punjab in Northern India. For most of her Christian life Kully has worshiped at All Souls Church near Oxford Circus, where she has been actively involved in their Christianity Explored Programme.

Iain Hasnip joined KPMG as a trainee Chartered Accountant in August 2000 after graduating with a Masters’ degree in Physics. Since qualifying in 2003 Iain has worked in investment banking as a Financial Controller for Equity Derivatives. Iain is also a member of the Securities and Investment Institute having been awarded their diploma in 2004. After coming to faith in 1997 whilst a student, he was confirmed at St James’, Muswell Hill in 2003. Iain now attends St John the Baptist Church in Sevenoaks.

Richard Higginson has been Lecturer in Ethics and Leadership at Ridley Hall, Cambridge since 1989, formerly at St John’s College, Durham. He is Director of the Ridley Hall Foundation, which relates the Christian faith to the business world, also co-editor of the quarterly journal Faith in Business. A notable author, including a book on Questions of Business Life, he was recently ordained Deacon to St Philip’s and St Stephen’s Church, Cambridge after 20 years as a Reader.

Ralph Hollinghurst joined Mobil Oil in 1959 after graduation, initially working on international fuels and lubricant development. He later worked in UK Strategic and Market Planning and Supply and Trading Management (UK and USA), before becoming G M, Liquefied Petroleum Gas in 1988. Following retirement in 1995 he has spent several years in international consultancy. He is an active Christian in both Parish and Deanery, and is currently at work on a book on Business Ethics.

Stanley Kiaer graduated in Classics, working in shipping and pharmaceuticals for 10 years before entering the charitable sector. He was Secretary of the Westminster Theatre, where he co-produced C S Lewis ‘Narnia’ plays, then Secretary of the Oxford Group. He became Director of CABE in 1986 and was founder Director of the Institute of Business Ethics for 13 years.

Patrick Lavin, (deputy chairman) graduated in Economics and Behavioural Science, and is a fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. He has worked for Exxon Chemicals as an HR Director, change manager and internal consultant in the UK, Brussels, Asia and Houston. In 2000 Patrick established the consulting firm Pacalin Ltd, which specialises in helping organisations to prepare for and implement strategic people change successfully. It also assists executives to acquire mentoring skills and to develop strategies for accelerating change transitions. Patrick is a Churchwarden at St Mary’s Church, Storrington, Sussex.

Jack Mahoney is a Jesuit priest with wide-ranging experience obtained through holding academic posts in King’s College, London, London Business School and the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews. He is a longstanding CABE member and is currently Senior Research Director, Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics and Public Life.


John McLean Fox, (chairman) was initially an engineer with Alcan UK following graduation. In 1960 he joined the PA Consulting Group, where he served in a variety of roles and retired as a Director in 1989. He launched and ran a company ‘Future Perfect’ for 4 years before diversifying into the voluntary and community sector, in which he acts as a Trustee for a number of charities, including the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School. Guy Negus, (Liaison for Principles in Small Businesses) is M D of Lincon Batteries Ltd, a family owned battery manufacturing and distribution company in Essex. Having served a term as Chairman of the Society of British Battery Manufacturers he is currently a Council member of the Independent Battery Distributors Association. He is a licensed Reader in the Chelmsford Diocese and a Diocesan Volunteer for the Children’s Society, also Trustee of Christian Hope International, a charity sending aid to many African countries. e-mail: guy@lincon.co.uk

Eve Poole graduated in Theology before working for the Church Commissioners for England. Having gained an MBA she then worked as a change management consultant with Deloitte Consulting. Eve is currently a lecturer at Ashridge Business School, focusing on Leadership, People and Change, and is studying part-time for a Ph D in Capitalism and Theology. She is a Visiting Lecturer at several Business Schools. Eve serves on the Chelsea Deanery Synod, and sings in the choir at Christ Church, Chelsea.

Peter Shaw, CB is an executive coach working with a national coaching organisation. He coaches at senior levels in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He was a Director General and Board member within Government Departments between 1993 and 2003. Peter has published various articles on coaching and a recent book entitled ‘Mirroring Jesus as leader’ for Grove Books. Peter is a Governor of Cranmer Hall, Durham and is a Church of England Reader.

Clive Wright OBE, (deputy chairman) after leaving university spent more than 30 years working in the petrochemical industry with Shell, Esso and Arco Chemical Inc and has worked in Africa, USA and Europe. He has been a member of CABE since 1984 and is a Trustee of the Institute of Business Ethics. OTHER

Jackie Nelson, (Membership Secretary and Principles Project Manager), joined Unilever as a management trainee in September 1988 after graduating with a degree in Management Studies and Russian. She qualified as a Management Accountant (CIMA) and worked for Unilever for 12 years as an accountant, project manager and supply chain manager. It was only when she let God into her work through a Christian Fellowship at Unilever that her faith started to grow and she later helped to set up the Christian group at JPMorgan where she worked in Human Resources until March 2006.
